Heart Warming Comfort Food
There are many comfort food available, yet Putien is one of the places where it offers an authentic taste from Putian, China. Putian is well known for its rich cultural history and storied tradition. Putian has vast mountains and faces the seas. Thus it offers goods produce from both land and oceans and is famous for its seaweed, yam, and vermicelli. Putien provides excellent comfort food with a rich cultural taste from the town of Putian. With their outstanding service and high-quality food, many patrons love dining at Putien one Michelin star, for family dinner.
Putien interior offers vibrant colors, from their menu to their interior design. This design gives a kind of luxury feel, yet it is heartwarming. We visit one of their branches at Atria Damansara, and during dinner time on a weekday, the occupancy has reached about 75%. You will need to book for the weekend to secure your spot. We do cover this place from our post here.
If you are the first time dining here, Putien Mee Sua is one of the highly recommended to order. This handmade noodle is meticulously made with high ingredients and a tedious process to ensure it does not stick together when cooked.
The next one is Bian Rou soup. Never be fooled by its small size, as the taste is solid and great. This meat is pounded more than 12000 times to make the flesh very smooth to eat. So it is a dish that is worth ordering.
Sweet and sour with lychees. This dish complements the taste of Mee Sua and also Bian Rou soup. The crispiness of the skin but tender and soft meat on the inside make this dish favorite. This dish is safe to order when you dine with kids, as the sweetness goes well with rice.
Our next order is Stir-fried chili clams as we love spicy food. Generous spring onion goes well with the chili oil and sweetness of the clams. We must appreciate by giving double thumbs up to the chef who prepares this dish, as not a single clam has a taste of sand grain.
This main dish is this deep-fried squirrelfish. This boneless fish has a deep taste for sweet and sour, and the sweetness that comes from fish brings this dish to the next level. The fish need to be fresh and fried for just the right amount of time to ensure it does not overcook.
Check how to cook this dish from the Michelin star website.
